On February 24, 2025, Mary Regional Museum of History and Local Lore an event organized dedicated to international Women's Day, Participants of the festive event, students of the Pedagogical College named after Khydyr Deryaev, in their folklore performances glorified the art created by the hands of women who depicted the beauty of the Turkmen land on carpets and elegant embroideries the Turkmen people highly valued the dignity of women. The women's silver jeweler skillfully made by a jeweler stands out fir its originality; it was intended not only for the outfits of Turkmen women, but also protected against the evil eve and bad intentions. This magnificent art, created by the skillful hands of a master, delights the imagination.
As part of this event the research staff of the Mary Regional Museum of History and Local Lore organized a traveling exhibition, which presented carpets and carpet products, various types of silver jewelry, women's clothing decorated with filigree embroidery, robes – capes “kurte”, “cyrpy”, “ purendjek”, “begres don”, scarves “duypli gynach” , headdresses “takhya”, “boric”.
Such exhibitions provide an opportunity to deeply and comprehensively study the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people and convey it to the public, and also allow the younger generation to become familiar with the life and customs of our ancestor. Unique examples of Turkmen art have passed through the centuries without losing their artistic qualities and are currently stored in the museums of our motherland.
