An excursion to the Mary Regional Museum of Local History became a true journey through time for the students of the Mary Oil and Gas Secondary Vocational School. The museum exhibits, imbued with the spirit of the past, instilled in the young people a sense of pride for their homeland and its rich history.
Archaeological finds presented in the museum, like living pages of chronicles, told about the life and everyday life of the ancient inhabitants of this land. Each exhibit – be it a skillfully crafted stone tool, an elegant silver ornament, or a fragile ceramic vessel – holds a piece of the Turkmen people's history, their traditions, and customs.
Museum staff, passionate about their work, conducted an informative tour for students and teachers, recounting the history of the museum and its unique collections. Special attention was paid to exhibits related to the middle Ages, archaeological finds from Gonur-Depe, as well as items connected with the Seljuk period.
The students examined decorations, household items, and tools with genuine interest, marveling at the skill of ancient artisans. After all, the Turkmen people have always been renowned for their ability to turn ordinary things into works of art.
The museum's exhibits, like threads, connect the past and present, passing on to the younger generation the priceless heritage of their ancestors – their talent, hard work, and wisdom. The students listened attentively to stories about the glorious history and national traditions of the Turkmen people.
Students and teachers expressed sincere gratitude to the esteemed Hero Arkadag and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov for their unwavering care in preserving the country's historical and cultural heritage, for creating modern museums where everyone can touch the past and feel a part of the great history.
